
Dr. Mary Blatherwick
Artistic Director
UNB Professor, Art Educator, Artist
Dr. Blatherwick teaches art, design and creative education in the undergraduate and graduate Education programs at University of New Brunswick. Her research interests include intercultural understanding, visual literacy, arts-based resource development, community arts, and creativity. She has developed resources on intercultural understanding, conducted surveys on visual literacy, and produced a series of films which examine the concept of creative practice. Mary has received prestigious awards for her excellence in teaching. With Dr. Jill Cummings, she recently co-authored Creative Dimensions of Teaching and Learning in the 21st century.

Jennifer Lee Wiebe
Visual Artist, Studio Head, Foundation Visual Arts (FVA)
Jennifer is a Canadian-based professional visual artist and educator with twenty years of experience in the field of creativity. While trained in the conventional scales of design, drawing, colour and painting, her unique approach to art-making brings together equal measures of social commentary, critical analysis as well as skill-based aspects of the creative process. Jennifer is currently the Studio Head of Drawing at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, has taught in the Departments of Education and Multi Media Studies at the University of New Brunswick, Canada.

Dr. Danielle Hogan
PhD, Art Researcher, Artist (Canada)
An expert in creative graphics studies, Dr. Danielle Hogan graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver and Victoria University, earning a interdisciplinary research PhD from the University of New Brunswick. She leads international art practice projects, conducting research in Banff, Alberta, Barcelona, Spain, and Naples, Italy. Currently, she serves as the Chief Researcher at the New Brunswick Arts Research Society.

Dr. Jean Rooney
PhD, Artist (Ireland)
Director of Graduate Studies, UBCCD School of Craft and DesignDr. Jean Rooney graduated from the National College of Art and Design in Ireland and Trinity College Dublin. She is dedicated to studio practice, art education, and local community engagement. Over the past twenty years, she has regularly exhibited her work and taught courses in visual arts practice.

Jin Zuo(左晋)
Contemporary Artist / Art Consultant
Mr. Jin Zuo holds prominent positions in the art community, including serving as the President of the Chinese Canadian Art Association, the Curator of the Canadian Maple Leaf Art Museum, the Chief Artist of CY Art Gallery, the Director of the Beijing Oil Painting, and the Vice President of the China International Collection Association (Hong Kong).
Zuo’s artwork is renowned for his unique approach to reimagining natural landscapes and figurative representations of humans and animals, incorporating elements of surrealism. Over his illustrious 30-year career, he has created works that express profound metaphors and symbolism. As a highly respected artist, Zuo has participated in events at renowned institutions such as the National Art Museum of China, the London Olympic Fine Arts Consortium, and the Carousel du Louvre in Paris.
